About UK Deal Radar
UK Deal Radar is run by Narkissos Ltd. We publish gift ideas from UK retailers, each with a price checked on the retailer's own website.
How we pick gifts
We look for gifts that are useful and easy to understand, sold by well-known UK retailers (at the moment Boots and Currys).
We leave out restricted products, such as medicines, supplements, alcohol and vaping products, and items shown as out of stock when the price is checked.
Machines for making things to sell
We also list small machines and kits that people use to make things to sell from home, such as badge makers and heat presses. For each one we show the retailer's checked price, what it makes, what you need to start and, where we have them, dated asking prices seen on public marketplace listings, with a link to each listing.
We make no claims about what anyone would earn. Asking prices are not sales, and we don't know your costs, your prices or your demand. Those pages are a price check and a list of what's involved, not business advice.
How prices are checked
Every price is checked on the retailer's own product page and recorded with the date and time of the check. Each page shows that date and time, with the retailer's delivery terms next to the price.
A price is shown for 72 hours after it was checked. After that it is hidden and replaced by a note to check the current price at the retailer, until the price is checked again.
A 'was' price or RRP appears only when the retailer shows one on its own page. We say whose figure it is, and we never invent a discount.
How pages are written
We use software, including AI tools, to help write and check these pages. Every page is checked automatically when the site is built: no superlative price claims, no health claims, and no prices other than the checked ones.
Pictures
The pictures are simple illustrations of the type of product, drawn by us. They are not photos of the actual product, and we don't use retailers' images or logos.
Reviews
Where we mention reviews, the figures are as shown on the retailer's page when the price was checked.
